History
Seacroft founded in 1895 was originally 9 holes. In 1900 it expanded to 18 holes designed by Willie Fernie (Open Champion 1883). In 1911 and 1923 there were major alterations but more than half the present holes are as Fernie designed them. The two nines occupy distinct levels with a central ridge of dunes dividing one from the other. Even in modern times Seacroft retains its gloriously old fashioned feel. In 2005 the new clubhouse was officially opened bringing modern facilities and greater comfort.
